Mark your calendar; ‘tis the season to meet with friends, like you, who help make the season merry and bright!’ Bring your favourite sweet or savoury finger foods to share. Beverages will be provided. Because of allergy potential, please provide a list of ingredients in your food.

Journals will be ready for pick-up.

• Pitch in with setup and cleanup:

  • We need 3 extra helpers for setup at 10:45 am.

  • And 3–4 volunteers to help with cleanup afterward.

• Bring your indoor shoes to stay comfy and keep the space cozy.

We will once again be collecting items for women and children being cared for by the WOMEN’S CENTRE. 

Donations for Women's Centre of Calgary

The Women's Centre plays a critical role supporting women in our city. We believe addressing basic needs, building social connections and working for change will build a strong community.

Much of the work done at the Centre is addressing basic needs for a wide variety of women from all areas of the city. In addition to emergency food a woman may receive two personal items, 12 diapers, and 12 sanitary pads/tampons per month. This is obviously stop-gap, emergency supplies but it is difficult to keep up with. There never seems to be enough shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. Diapers for newborns seem to be always available but size 4 and up are harder to find.

During the month of December a woman may apply for a visit to the toy room to select a gift for each of her children. In addition there is a gift bag for each woman.

 

We are collecting donations to support the Women’s Centre with basic needs and their Christmas program.

• Toy Room: Please consider gifts for children ages 7–12 and up (all ages welcome, but this is the greatest need).

• Gift Baskets for Women: Thoughtful items such as pajamas, adult colouring books, leggings are much appreciated.

• Children’s Gifts: Popular choices include pajamas, stuffies, puzzles.
