Show & Share: Hosted by Renate Worthington

What were you up to in the lettering and paper arts realm this summer? A travel journal about your travel adventures and or your stay-cation, a new discovery of tools or techniques, a question about a work in progress, practice pages that make you happy / unhappy, a mystery lettering style that we all need to see, an ink well found in an antique store or maybe granny’s attic. We all appreciate one another’s calligraphic, art, colour, design; ideas, samples, questions, discoveries. Bring them along to Show and Share!

Galleria: Hosted by Annette Wichmann

Theme: Numbers! Please bring your artwork to the meeting. Out-of-town members can contact us here on how to send in your artwork. We need to hear from our long distance members before Tuesday, September 16th to make sure we can share your artwork at the meeting.

Your artwork should contain a number or several numbers. We’re counting on people to go by the numbers and figure it out in your design of calculated creativity on whether your art is 2b or not 2b included in the next Galleria. Consider a quote about numbers. You can write your favourite number: birthday, anniversary, address, or math equation. Artwork will be shown at the September 18, 2025 in-person meeting and may be included in the BVCG Journal, website and social media. Remember; we’re counting on you!

Number Quote Examples:
Alcohol and calculus don’t mix. Never drink and derive.
You know you’re an engineer if you have no life and can prove it mathematically.
5 out of 4 people have problems with fractions!
Six out of seven dwarves are not Happy.

Brenda Casey Zoby has three books you might want to look at called “Uncommon Numbers” and two of these are available in the BVCG Library.

The BVCG publishes artwork in their Journal, website and social media pages. All artwork submitted is subject to the BVCG Artwork Publishing Policy available on the BVCG website here.
