It is time for a treasure hunt!! In  your creativity corner!! We would love to see rough copies of projects and W.I.P.S.(works-in-progress) , information and samples of work by the artists you have encountered in your travels or virtual travels;  an experiment based on some of the calligraphy masters. At each in-person meeting, Renate Worthington, Show & Share Facilitator, hosts an informative opportunity for you, the members, to share your wonderful paper and lettering art discoveries. BVCG sponsors an abundance of online and in-person opportunities for us. Let’s share some of those masterpieces, colossal fails, or something in between. What projects have you started? Finished? Is there something you would like some feedback about or a problem that needs solving? A brand new tool or technique? Don’t be shy. We are eager to see what you have been up to online and in-person, in your creativity corner. Bring those treasures along to SHOW & SHARE!

Theme: Textured Letters- Let’s Create Letters That Pop!

This month, we’re inviting you to explore the art of Textured Letters—a celebration of creativity, dimension, and design. Whether you love to doodle, Zentangle, flourish, quill, or experiment with 2D or 3D forms, this is your chance to make your letters stand out!

Use colour or monochrome, go bold or delicate—the choice is yours. The only rule? Your letters should be anything but ordinary. We want to see your most imaginative, textured interpretations of the alphabet.

Let your creativity speak—one letter at a time!

Please bring your artwork to the meeting. Out-of-town members can contact us here on how to send in your artwork. We need to hear from our long distance members by end of day Friday, November 14th to make sure we can share your artwork at the meeting.

The BVCG publishes artwork in their Journal, website and social media pages. All artwork submitted is subject to the BVCG Artwork Publishing Policy available on the BVCG website here.

 

BVCG Library: 

Will be open from 6:30 pm to allow you to check books out of the library and those with books due, to return them. Browse the BVCG Library catalogue here.

Refreshments: 

Will be available during the evening. Please wear a name tag, bring a pair of indoor shoes if it is mucky, put your name in for the door prize draw, find free stuff at the free stuff table.
