Kerri's Folded Pen Supply List (Jan 2025)
Folded pen - I suggest the one by "The Pen Artisan" from Kensington Art Supply. A new shipment will be in some time in
January. They will be avilable for purchase at the class.
Kerri will have a variety to try out as well.
Paper - Large format because these pens make large letters and Standard 8 X11 is frustrating !
So Layout Bond 11 x 17 or similarly large, Layout Bond takes a lot of wet ink without bleeding. (or the BVCG pad for $12)
Also a pad of Fingerpaint paper ,( it has an almost glossy finish) 12 x 18
A large sheet of Arches Text Wove - it can be torn into 1/4 s
A few pieces of colored card stock 8 1/2 x 11
Ink - Walnut ink and or Sumi ink - Moon Palace or green bottle kind.
Gouache white, and a couple of colors
If you have some colored inks you can bring some like Ecoline , or acrylic or Bleed proof White if you have it
Extras - A couple of small jars (like jam jar ) for water, old tooth brush, small mixing brush and a larger wider one for back grounds, paper towels or rags, pencil, ruler, and a small bag of cash - there will be a small variety of supplies available for purchase from Kensington Art Supply! * credit cards also accepted.
